The EmPire Company
The Empire (formally 2 Hype) is the reigning 6 time National and 3 time Grand National Championship Hip Hop Company. We are an extremely competitive/performance dance company made up of several individual teams ranging from ages of 9 yrs old – adults. Our company promotes empowerment, ambition, individuality, hard work, and self worth through the love of dance. Company members have the opportunity to develop skills in many aspects of Urban dance styles: Street Funk, Hip Hop, Contemp-Hop, Waacking, Dancehall, House, and more including traditional styles. They have the opportunity to attend master classes and workshops lead by the industries leading instructors and choreographers through the year and will attend competitions and perform at local events and shows. Our company is for any dancers in the Austin and surrounding areas.

Team Requirements
*Any returning team member is required to attend DROP THA BEAT URBAN DANCE INTENSIVE.
*Rehearsals are every week 1-2 hours. Dates TBA at parent meeting.
*Each team attends at least 3 competitions and 1 nationals competition and/or 1 convention (usually combined with 1 of the competitions). We travel every other year to LA or NY which is option for all members.
*Each team competes at least 1-2 team routines and may compete 1 lg group routine or production (with entire company).
*Teams have pre-determined costs and monthly payments extended over 8 mth period to help with costs.
*Returning members are required to audition each year.
*Each dancer pays a drop fee that is refundable at end of a completed competition year or transferable to following year.
